Have you ever wondered why your body does what it does? Why that headache shows up right when you're stressed? Why your shoulder aches when you're carrying too much responsibility? Here's something that might just blow your mind… your body is literally trying to tell you something. Every pain, every illness, every little niggle is your body's way of saying, "Hey, I need you to pay attention here." As humans we tend to dismiss our body's messages. We pop a pill, push through, and keep going. But what if I told you that your sore throat isn't just a sore throat? What if your body is screaming that you're not saying what you really feel? This isn't about fixing yourself. It's about understanding yourself. And when you start listening to what your body is telling you, things get to change in your life.

Your Body Holds Your Story
Your body remembers everything. Every emotion you've suppressed, every word you didn't say, every time you put everyone else first. It's all stored somewhere in your body, and it shows up as pain, illness, or injury. The fascinating part? Where it shows up means something specific. Think about it this way: the left side of your body relates to females, family, or feeling nurtured. The right side? That's about males, control, and work. So when you hurt your right shoulder, your body might be saying, "I'm overly responsible for the males in my life right now." When your left knee hurts, it could be, "I'm struggling to be flexible in my direction with family or feeling nurtured."
Your body is giving you clues to your truth before you even know it yourself. Your body is talking. This is why two people can trip over the same thing, but one breaks their ankle and one doesn't. It's not just bad luck. There's a why in that. They’re both not experiencing the same reason. Understanding your why, combined with leading the way with your own self-care, opens up doors that can genuinely change your life.
Pain is Your Body's Way of Getting Your Attention
Pain means stop. It means your body is going, "You're not listening to me, so I'm going to make you listen." A little pain is a gentle poke. Big pain? That's a massive smack across the back of the head saying, "Deal with this now." I had a young girl come to me once with fractured ribs that wouldn't heal. As we unpacked it, we discovered there was a boy on the bus who hugged her every morning, and she felt extremely uncomfortable but didn't have a voice to say, "Get off me." The signs are there.
Her body was protecting her. You can't hug me if I've got sore ribs. Fascinating, right? When we suppress our feelings because we think we have to fix everyone else, or because we're told "don't worry about it," those emotions don't just disappear. They show up in our bodies as physical signals. The more we suppress over time, the more pain, ailments, and illness we get.
Your Organs Tell Their Own Stories
Every organ in your body represents something. Maybe your circumstance is your stomach. It’s about criticism and deprivation. Your lungs? Suppression and feeling smothered. Large intestine is grief, guilt, and powerlessness.
When you understand what each part means, you can start putting the puzzle together. Constipation isn't just constipation. It's "I'm holding on to stuff, and I don't know how to let go of it." A bladder infection? That's literally being pissed off because you're not in control. Tonsillitis means you're angry that you can't say what you want to say. This is why gastro goes around schools like wildfire. Little kids are dealing with emotions they don't understand, and their bodies purge them. It's the fastest way to get rid of unsaid emotions. And when one kid starts clearing emotions, others follow because the emotions in that playground are often very similar.

Is It Time To Take Action? Start Your Research With Listening.
So what hurts in your body right now? What part or parts of your body are trying to get your attention as internal signals? When you start asking these questions, you're not just treating symptoms anymore. You're getting to the root of why things happen to you. You're taking your power back. This isn't about blaming yourself. It's about understanding yourself so deeply that you can support yourself through anything. And when it makes sense, that's the absolute money ticket to changing your life.
